The children read a story about construction workers and the role they play in the community. They learnt about the different types of construction workers such as plumber, masons, roofers etc and also the tools and machineries used in the construction site. After the storytelling session , the children had expressed their gratitude towards the construction workers and they had reflected their thoughts by doing creative writing and illustrated drawings of construction workers at work.
Towards the end of the activity, the children shared their thoughts about the importance of caring for the community. They learn about empathy and compassion towards the construction workers after they learnt about the strenuous job of the workers.
