Last 22nd April, our children from PCF Sparkletots Preschool @ Kembangan-Chai Chee Blk 32 had our ‘Start Small Dream Big’ Launch Party. We have chosen the topic on appreciating our elderly - bridging the gap between generations. We discussed with the children on different ways to show our appreciation to our grandparents and other elderlies around us. They gave very good answers such as: making cards for them, giving them gifts, and giving them hugs and kisses.
The children in the centre came up with a variety of crafts to give to their own grandparents. There were bookmarks, painted pebbles, and clay art prepared for our beloved grandmas and grandpas.
Grandparents were overjoyed to receive such beautiful pieces of art that their grandchildren had made for them. The smiles on their faces are worth it. This is just the beginning for our centre, there will be more meaningful activities to come. We are looking forward to making more grandparents/elders happy and feel appreciated.
