Children at Kidz Meadow Eunos came together for a meaningful cause, engaging in an interactive Zoom session with the elders at Pertapis Senior Citizen Fellowship Home. The K1 and K2 children kicked off the event with a lively performance, delighting the seniors with a traditional Malay song.
In return, the elders shared and sang their favorite songs, creating a joyful atmosphere. The session also included a chair dance exercise, where the children led the elders, ensuring everyone stayed active and engaged. It was a heartwarming exchange that bridged generations and spread happiness.
Before concluding the session, the children enjoyed an engaging Q&A segment with the elders. They eagerly asked about the seniors’ names, hobbies, favorite foods and drinks, and even their ages. This interaction sparked curiosity and fostered connections, allowing the children to learn more about the lives and experiences of the elders. It was a delightful way to end a meaningful event.
In addition to the children’s participation in uplifting the elders, their families contributed by purchasing and sharing essential items like body soap, towels, and masks. This strong community involvement made the event even more impactful. It’s a wonderful hope that these experiences will inspire the children to continue giving back to the community in the future.
