The coronavirus pandemic took the entire world by storm. From the first reported case in Singapore back in late January 2020, our brave essential workers have fought to keep Singapore safe and worked hard to keep our community functioning.
For the consecutive 2nd year, our K2 children have been planting vegetables in our very own hydroponic garden. This year, we planted spinach and as the children embarked on this journey, they think about the selflessness displayed by our frontline workers at KKH. We thanked them for their contributions to our society and for keeping us safe!
During the preparation, there were so much of excitement and the children looked forward for the harvest! From planting to harvest and packaging, and even writing a special card to express their gratitude for our brave warriors in KKH by working hard to keep the virus at bay. The children learnt to give and bless with sincerity and thankfulness. They also learnt to appreciate everyone in our community too.
No work is too small for anyone and no effort is spared to bring a smile on someone we cared. It’s a long fight in this pandemic but we will only emerged stronger and better. Together with staff and children at Newton Kindergarten, we would like to cheer on our frontline hero!
