For our Start Small Dream Big (SSDB) Challenge this year, we decided to focus on the theme ‘Healthy Lifestyle, Healthy Us!’ to encourage and cultivate healthy habits in children, such as eating healthy by choosing the right food, practising good hygiene habits, as well as understanding the importance of keeping fit and staying active. We will be working and partnering closely with families and communities to create awareness on the importance of how having a healthy lifestyle can improve their children’s well-being and how they play an important role in it. 👍🏻
We had officially launched our SSDB project together with our monthly Fruity Friday event, on the 26th of April 2024 with our children. The children came to school dressed up in various fruit theme-related outfits/ costumes to commemorate this joyous event. The children engaged actively at following and dancing along to various songs relating to fruits during the Music & Movement activity. They exceptionally loved the ‘Go Bananas’ song as they danced and sang along with their peers excitedly.

The K1 children were then given the opportunity to create their very own ‘Apple Donut Snack’ using healthy fruits and ingredients such as apples and low-fat yogurt. With some additional food colourings and toppings such as rainbow/ chocolate sprinklers, the children enjoyed their ‘Apple Donut Snack’ with gusto!
