This week, the teacher shared an article with the children. The article emphasised on a pilot programme that was launched by NTUC Foodfare to encourage the public to donate hawker centre meals to the needy residents and low-income families in Pasir Ris. Diners can donate meals by purchasing ‘Gift-a-Meal’ balls from hawker stalls and dropping them in a box. The ‘Gift-a-Meal’ scheme is the first of its kind at a hawker centre which aims to help moderate the cost of living. The teacher felt that it was a good example of an act of kindness to share with the children.
After sharing the article, teacher got K2 children to think about and draw how they could show kindness to someone who is in need.
