Selamat Hari Raya Aidilfitri 2025 To All.
On the 9th of April 2025, Appleland Montessori hosted a joyous Hari Raya Puasa celebration at school.
Hari Raya decorations filled the center with ketupat deco, Hari Raya fairies lights hanging, goodies, and their personal crafts.
Everyone participated in the celebrations by putting on traditional costumes.
Each individual classes were decorated with Hari Raya craft.
Hari Raya Aidilfitri is celebrated as an accomplishment in completing a month of fasting and overcoming personal struggles during the month of Ramadhan. It is also a time of forgiveness and strengthening of bonds amongst family members and relatives. With that in mind, everyone in Appleland Montessori celebrated Hari Raya filled with fun and engaging activities.
Children in Appleland Montessori were introduced to videos and pictures of various activities carried out during the month of Ramadan such as praying, giving back to charity, and fasting.
The children loved listening to the “Raya,Raya,Raya and Alamak Raya Lagi” song and they will sing together to the song and some of the Hari Raya songs as well.
Children in Appleland Montessori were introduced the traditional dishes on Hari Raya eg. Ketupat and Lemang is typically wrapped in coconut leaves filled with white rice but as for lemang it filled with glutinous rice.
Everyone had the opportunity to feast on various types of Muslim cuisine kueh and appreciate the friendships they shared with children from different ethnic backgrounds.
Children of Appleland Montessori go for daily walk with their traditional costumes around the residents area. The children look happy and enjoyed themselves during this Hari Raya Aidilfiri Celebration.
