The children learnt the importance of the 3Rs & as young as they are, they can be an advocate for their environment. For their art & craft projects, the children were told to use recycled items such as toilet rolls, paper scraps, plastic bottles, leftover art materials cardboards…etc. The children used their creativity to create beautiful art & craft pieces, for example, the use of leftover bubble wraps for “Fruits” craft, use of toilet rolls & paper scraps to create rockets, pencil holders, motorcars, trucks…..etc. Besides individual projects, there were also parent/child collaborations to create “saving water” devices using recycled materials. The outcome was amazing as the inventions were so innovative & unique. During “show & tell”, children were encouraged to talk about their inventions & how they & their parents came up with the ideas.
