During the Mid-Term 3 School Holiday, we invited parents to participate and be involved in the SSDB project by making their children’s pledge come true! Together with their children, they were encouraged to approach any SMRT/ SBS Transit staff and make their day by showing their appreciation through the sweet gestures the children have pledged to do during the discussion, such as giving a bottle of water, saying ‘thank you’ aloud and wave to the bus/ train captains, or creating an artwork to present to the staff, etc.
We are heartened to receive overwhelming support of parents taking photographs and sharing with us the memorable and precious moment of their children’s showing their appreciation and gratefulness to the frontliners.
Last but not least, during the reflection time held after the school break, the children felt very happy when the bus and train captains reciprocated by saying, “Thank You” and receiving their artworks with smiles on their faces.
