Our school participates in the presidential challenge, Small Small Dream Big project that has commenced since April. SkoolReady children have been reaching out to the community and learning to care for the people around them in their little yet significant ways. As the slogan goes “No one can do everything, everyone can do something!” By using kind words in our daily communication, children experience caring and spreading love in the community.
Our school invited Singapore Kindness Movement to perform an engaging and meaningful puppetry show. Our children could relate the familiar school scenarios of getting upset with the friends taking their things without permission, breaking their belongings and many more. Children learnt to regulate their negative feelings such as anger and sadness, as well as resolving conflict among peers.
Children were fascinated with the magic show and amazed with how different puppets come alive with the voice acting. It was indeed a fulfilling learning journey for the children as they applied the kind words when interacting with peers and adults. Great learning experience, SkoolReady children!
