Students from Skool4kidz @Yishun Orchid Spring was engaged in dramatic play wherein they were given the most common setting in a bus everyday.
Before the play starts, they were asked: How will you show kindness inside the bus?
This activity is a good opportunity for children to express their own ideas and real life experience during dramatization. It is also a way to teach their peers small act of kindness in everyday life.
Every child come out with different ideas such as, queuing when they are going inside and outside the bus, giving out their seats nicely to the old lady and a lady with a baby and they also didn’t forgot to tap their cards and hold in the handrails for safety.
This brings lesson not only to children but also for educators to realize that learning in not only in academics but most importantly in every child’s personal and behavioral development.

Children who acted up as the old lady and lady with the baby didn’t forget to say ‘thank you’ to the one who gave out the seats and the alighting passengers also said ‘thank you’ to the bus driver which he replies ‘you’re welcome’. This maybe a SMALL deed but it shows how BIG HEART a child have. Small act of kindness will never be wasted when it is APPRECIATED.
