During covid-19, our little angels decided to shed some light and hope with little acts of kindness.
At the initial stages of the pandemic, the teachers discussed with the children on how they can render help or kindness to others and make a difference during these tough times.
We contributed hand sanitizers to the building where our school is located at. The children wrote encouraging messages and placed them in the shared elevators together with the hand sanitizers. (Photos were taken before circuit breaker)
Children decorated tote bags with appreciation messages and packed some snacks into the bags for the healthcare workers at Tan Tock Seng Hospital. (Photos were taken before circuit breaker)
We also prepared little appreciation gifts for parents who are frontline workers to affirm them of their efforts and thank them for their selflessness.
Amidst this pandemic, we were blessed to receive kindness from others as well.
The building security guards helped to water our little garden during the circuit breaker when schools transitioned to home base learning. We sent them a carton of drinks to appreciate their thoughtfulness.
We also had a few parents who delivered pastries to our school to thank our staff for helping to take care of the children who needed to utilize the limited school service.
During the home base learning, our students and the parents also took part in a virtual Appreciation Video to General Practitioners in Singapore initiated by Singapore Kindness Movement (SKM). The children also prepared appreciation messages and drawings to thank the frontline workers.
In addition, our team of staff together with the help of the students and parents, contributed items and decorated tote bags to distribute to the Pasir Ris Park Maintenance Team workers who continuously help to keep the park and beach clean. Every year, our students would visit them and play a part in keeping the park and beach clean. However, despite the covid-19 situation, it did not stop us from appreciating the workers.
