In the previous week, the teacher discussed with K2 children the various ways to show kindness to people in need and they created drawings to show ways to help other people. This week, the teacher constructed a ‘Kindness board game’ with the children’s drawings.
During the game, the teacher promoted kindness in the children by letting them decide and agree among themselves the sequence they would roll the dice. Dawnelle volunteered,” I let Nina roll first.” Aryan volunteered, “I will be last.”
Children were able to take turns to roll the dice during the game. They would also help one another count the number of boxes and move the token as they played the game.
When one child won, the rest of the children would show good sportsmanship by cheering and clapping for the winner.
