As part of our Start Small Dream Big 2023, Newton kindergarten Pre-Nursery children were encouraged to show love and care to the 200 children who were 5 to 9 years old at Infant Jesus Homes & Children Centre.
This physical act of gift-presenting allowed the children to display Love and Compassion as a result, inculcating proper values to our children and encourage them to give back to society.
The children and parents donated new stationery and educational aids such as story books, pencil cases, colour pencils, crayons, erasers and rulers etc. to bless the children in the home. These items were nicely packed into goodie bags and presented to the children in need.
The teachers narrated a book from the Nurturing Good Value Series, “Let Us Be Generous” that taught our pre-school children on the significance of love and compassion.
Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. 2 Corinthians 9:7
