On the 1st of April 2019, we kickstarted our SSDB project.
It started off with our little Earth Day Sharing. The children got to learn how the use of plastic is causing harm to animals and their environment. They also discussed ways on how they could reduce the use of plastic on a daily basis.
Together with the teachers, the children made a pledge on using fewer plastic to help save their Earth.
Thereafter, they brought home an Earth Day Pledge to do together with their family. The pledge was hung up on our Earth Day Tree.
Some up-close samples of our children’s pledges.
The children also discovered that not all wastes need to go into the bins. Some wastes such as banana and carrot peels can be fed to the blue worms. The worms will then turn these waste into compost for the school’s garden.
