During the theme on Saving the Earth, K2 children learnt about deforestation and its harmful effects. Firstly, they had a discussion on this topic and the teacher disseminated information about how the forests are being destroyed. Next, the children were shown two set ups simulating a forest and a barren land. They were asked to predict which set up will collect water that is clearer and which will be murky. The children went on to pour water into each set up and observed the water collected water. They were amazed by the results and had a better understanding of the harmful effects of deforestation.
