It’s another year of Children’s day celebration @ Appleland Montessori!
For the year 2023, the theme of the Children’s Day party was “Pyjamas Party.” Due to the haze, we decided not to conduct any activities outdoors as it may negatively impact the children’s health. Hence, the teachers came up with fun and interesting indoor activities for the children. Who says indoor activities will not be as fun as outdoor? Let’s take a look at how the children of Appleland Montessori enjoyed themselves during the celebration 😊
Indoor ball pit and slide
The children, especially the Toddlers and Nursery Ones, had a BALL of time sliding into the colourful ball pit!
Musical Chairs
The K2s waiting patiently for the game to finish.
The winner!
The children understood the rules of the game and participated actively. They completed the game without pushing one another and we are so proud of them!
Cookery – Fruit Sandwich
Besides games and activities, the children also had the opportunity to participate in cookery activities. They were tasked to cut the fruits (peach, strawberry, banana) into smaller pieces and place it onto the bread. Then, the teachers helped to spread whipping cream onto the bread. They had so much fun during the activity and was very excited to try their sandwiches during tea break time.
Pass the hoops
In this teamwork activity, children were tasked to pass the hoops in a clockwise position without letting go of their hands. Look at how the K2s strategically passed the hoop from one person to another. Through this activity, the children learned to help one another as well as work together to ensure that the hoops were passed down without dropping.
The young ones had a wonderful time dramatizing at the burger stand too. Wonderful times for the whole day.
It was a fun and happy day for all the students of Appleland Montessori 😊
