This year, the children in Justkids @Marine Parade, discovered that there are many ways in which they could help save the environment. A range of fun activities were carried out to provide authenthic and meaningful learning experiences for all children to enjoy and experiment.
Together with the teachers, children learnt about soil erosion and why erosion occurs more slowly when soil is paired with leaf debris or plants! Another interesting example was on the cause and effect of water pollution. Solid waste such as plastic to liquid wastes such as oil spills were visually shown for children to observe the impact on plants and animals when the oceans are polluted from human activities.
