For Biodiversity Week, Nparks provided us a a Malayan Ground Orchid (Spathoglottis plicata) plant to be potted as a symbolism to the international greening movement.
We started off with an interactive story telling session using the book “The Curious Garden” to highlight the importance of plants and greeneries around us.
Next, in line with our motto “Small Changes Can Make A Big Difference” for SSDB 2017, we had a ceremonial potting session with an objective to demonstrate that each one little step we take is a step forward to creating a greener Earth and contribute to the native biodiversity.
After potting, we shifted the plant outdoor so that it can receive the sunlight and fresh air needed.
And the children took turns to water the plants and the other plants we grew outside our centre.
