We have split up our activities to fit the Anticipation, Recording and Consolidating (ARC) phase, where children will participate in activities that will help them to understand the objective of the event. Phase 1, that is the Anticipation part of the project, showcases children and their introduction to the event initially.
Children write down their knowledge on the topic of “Why do we buy food at a supermarket?” as an introductory activity to the event.
Before starting on the activity, they are shown a newspaper clipping about supermarkets and the current pandemic.
Exposing children to the goal of the project, and asking questions on how to Produce and Eat Fresh.
Asking children questions on how we get our everyday food.
During the Anticipation stage, children are gauged and they are being exposed to a new topic by asking questions and providing various activities to write down the things they know or have learnt in order to prepare themselves for the next phase of the project.
