In the middle of urban Jurong west,The Schoolhouse at Lakeside, with it's individual estate, provides lots of outdoor opportunities for children to play and grow. Well designed physical education enrichment classes reflect the school’s emphasis on learning that is fun, hands-on as well as intellectually challenging.

Keeping to The Schoolhouse traditions, the center's vision is to nurture bilingual children with a love for two languages. The Lakeside center aims to cultivate core values of Curiosity, Creativity, Confidence and Continuity in all students. The unique, progressive and all-encompassing bilingual immersion core curriculum integrates internationally renowned programmes with a unique local flavour. 

The Lakeside center's environment is supplemented by an experienced and dedicated staff, headed by the principal, Mrs Tan Sow Leng. With more than 25 years of experience under her belt, with numerous accolades such as being the first mandarin teacher when The Schoolhouse was set up, serving as the curriculum specialist for Mandarin, creating the Chinese enrichment classes, and part of the Mandarin Immersion Team that went to the United States of America, Mrs Tan provides the steady hand that ensures the spirit of The Schoolhouse is upheld. The teachers are experienced and responsible. Many joined the center when the campus was at the Arena Country Club.
