Our SSDB project targets caring for our environment with K1 and K2 children and their parents. While we focus on protecting the environment, we also show our care and concern to the people in the community.
This series aims to create awareness among community partners (St. Luke eldercare). Children wear costumes made of recycled materials and perform the Go Green song to “Ah gong” and “Ah ma”. The elderly enjoy the performance and are aware of the importance of going green and the benefit of the 3Rs to help save the earth. Hopefully, elders will spread the awareness to their family members after the event.
Children and their parents were reusing recycled materials to make the costumes for the performance. The teacher also helped some of the children make the costumes in school. We used plastic bags, newspapers, old clothes, old umbrellas, cardboard and other materials with their inventive costumes, decorations and props for this show. Children with their parents learnt the importance of the 3Rs together at home.
Children are getting ready with the invented costume with recycled materials for their performance.
Children also designed the paper bag with the message of going green and wishing the elderly happiness, good health and happiness always. Children packed all the goodies in paper bags and distributed them at the event.
Children were performing “Go green” song to elderly with their costumes.
Children were making the longevity peach craft together with the elderly to wish them good health and good luck.
We end the celebrations with the group photons with elderly. Thank you to the St. Luke person in charge for allowing me to reach out to the public.
