In our continous effort towards our goal of promoting kindness and caring behaviour to our children, we embarked to a project entitled “Caring for the Elderly”.
Last May, we introduced the story ‘Grandparent’s Day” to our k2 children and encouraged them to share their personal experiences with their own grandparents. After this, they were introduced to the elderly people who are sent to home for the agent and shared their feelings about it with their friends. On a small heart shape papers, children were encouraged to draw and share their ideas on how they can put a smile on the faces of the elderly people.
They posted it on a large paper and created a banner. Children made a pldege to be a service agent and printed their hands around the banner as a sign of their commitment to be an agent of change. Children wore their special agent hats and held their banner as they say: “We promise to care of the elderly! We are the world changers!”.
