The children made posters with their parents on ways they could use 3Rs (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle) on the available resources around them, as part of the parental involvement project.
They did show and tell to share their ideas on ways to 3Rs with their peers and teachers. They also brought along resources that they could reduce and reuse as part of their show and tell. It was an informative and exciting session indeed!
As takeaways, the children learnt that the 3Rs play a crucial role in Singapore by protecting the environment, conserving limited resources, reducing waste generation and extending the lifespan of our only landfill, Pulau Semakau.
They agreed that it is everyone’s responsibility to ensure that Singapore remains clean, healthy and green.
‘No one can do everything, but everyone can do something!’
