In appreciating our eyesight, we had a blindfolded game today where the “blind” wolf had to find a group of Red Riding Hoods. The “wolf” was blindfolded and had to feel his way to get to his Red Riding Hoods.
Upon catching one Red Riding Hood, the wolf had to guess the name of his friend by listening to her/his voice and touching them appropriately.
This game taught the children the values of having our precious eyesight and the challenges faces by the visually impaired people. Children reflected on the difficulties they faced when blindfolded and not having their eyes to guide them along.
They mentioned that using our sense of touch and hearing were important to help them identify people and get them to places.
We are looking forward to know more on the differently abled people. We hope that we can be compassionate towards them and allow them to be a part of our inclusive society.
