Successful Little Entrepreneur is a project that was planned and implemented by our K2 - Honesty children.
Our children followed a 3 - step process to implement this project.
1st step: Discussion
During the class discussion, children decided to have chicken rice and vegetable soup for lunch.
Upon deciding, children decided to interview our centre cook, Auntie Yati. Children interviewed the centre cook by asking questions such as “how to make chicken rice”, “what is the price of the chicken rice”, “how to plate it?” and lastly “where to purchase the ingredients from”. For which, our auntie took time to answer the children’s questions.
Also, our children interviewed our beneficiary - Ren Ci Nursing Home @ Bukit Batok. During this interview, our children asked the items (basic needs) that the seniors require. Based on the responses, our children were encouraged to donate toothbrush, towels and Milo packets to the seniors.
2nd step: Preparation
Our children decorated recycled boxes to place their donations and created a banner for the event.
3rd step: Donation Drive
K2 children were eagerly looking forward to donate items to the seniors. Everybody contributed to donate items as well!
To make the donation drive exciting, upon donating, our children had an opportunity to serve food for themselves. This will enhance their independence as our children progress to Primary 1 in the near future.
What a remarkable day it was! This project was a absolute success and we would like to thank our Centre Principal - Ms Karen Chua , Centre Cook - Aunty Yati and K2 - Honesty parents for making this possible. 🎉
