In line with our Start Small Dream Big (SSDB) project, we collaborated with the Singapore Association for the Deaf (SADeaf) for a storytelling and sign language song singing session for the children. The objective of the session are as follows:
• Develop empathy and understanding: By hearing the deaf community personal stories, the children will gain a deeper understanding of the experiences and perspectives of individuals with hearing differences.
• Promote inclusivity and diversity: Learning sign language and experiencing a different mode of communication will help our children appreciate the diversity in our society and foster inclusivity.
• Encourage parental involvement: Following the incursion, we encourage parents and siblings to engage with their children by learning the sign language song together.
