Last year, we adopted a rag-and-bone elderly woman who collects tin cans.
This year, we have planned for our pupils to go beyond showing empathy and giving the rag-and-bone elderly woman a helping hand by donating cans collected. We wanted the children to initiate the kind of assistance they wish to extend and to think about what would make suitable and useful gifts for a rag-and-bone elderly woman.
On 21 April 2017, we invited the rag-and-bone elderly woman to come to our Kindergarten.
We arranged for our children to present their gifts to her. It brought a smile to her face!
