This is our first time organising a fundraising project and the response was beyond our expectation. Parents were satified with the events as well as the craft made by the children.
Four weeks prior to the events, all the teachers and including our aunties were actively involved in the discussion. Parents of the k1 children were also involved in this fundraising project. They were tasked to make a craft/create something using used plastic bottles.
Our creative parents have turned used plastic bottles into the pencil holders, vases, lamps etc.
On the day of the fundraising projects, there is a sale of foods such as fruit fondue, steam corn, nacho chips, steam sausage, and game stalls such as bean bag throw, wheel of fortune, tossa ring, and balloon sculpturing.
Parents and visitors purchased food items, and also enagaged their children in games. They also took this moment to capture photographs of their children work and having fun. Parents were very proud to see their children’s craftworks and were more than happy to buy them home while supporting out fundraising project.
We are really thankful to all who have contributed and supported us in one way o another, making the project a big success. We had come to the end of our SSDB Fundraising Project, but that’s not the end of our learning journey, especially for our children. They have since learned to be more loving and compassionate towards people.
Let’s all continue to follow our passion and help other whenever we can. “No one can do everything but everyone can do something”.
