On 25th June 2019, we visited the St. John’s Home for the Elderly. Our aim was to inculcate the values of care, respect and appreciation in children through interactive activities. Prior to the visit, the children prepared the activities using recycled materials such as tissue rolls and cardboards. They cut up the cardboard into squares and painted it in different colours. Then, they glued tissue rolls onto the back of the cardboard to make it into photo frames. On the day of the visit, the children and elderly drew pictures to complete the frames. They also performed a song for the elderly which made the elderly very happy. It was a meaningful day indeed.
