Children showed appreciation for the support staff in the centre by making a thank you card made with recycled materials. They traced and cut the letters using old magazines. They decorated their customised card by cutting some flowers shapes too. Children were engaged and enjoyed the meaningful activity.
After making the card, with much excitement they gave the card to aunty and said “Thank you for helping us to keep our classroom clean and organize”.
Children were given several recycled materials to choose and work with to create a simple and heartfelt card for our support staff. They enjoyed hands on activities as it challenges their fine-motor skills as well as their creativity. Teacher did not provide any instructions. Thus, they did this on their own.
They gave aunty their big card that they had created as a class. Aunty expressed that she appreciated it and gave them a a big smile.
