This year we are focusing to inculcate in children respecting, communicating and doing acts of kindness for the elderly. We realised many of our students do not talk nicely, they even take them for granted when grandparents do something for them without saying thank you. We want the students to start cultivating these values with their own grandparents first at home before bringing them to the senior citizens’ corner and St. Luke Elder care to bring warm to them by showing love and doing acts of kindness. At the same time, we want to continue the culture of recycling in the school to benefit the community and neighbourhood by ensuring our students do not litter. Also we want to use recycle materials to make into games for the elderly in St. Luke Elder Care to help with entertaining and enhancing their gross and fine motor skills. Children will learn to interact with them.
