The teachers created opportunities for children to become Little Heroes they dreamt of becoming. Based on their interests, the teachers imparted various ‘super powers’ for them to ‘save the day’. The objective of this project was to empower the children to contribute to their community (i.e. their families and friends).
We are Super Heroes! – Designing Super Hero masks
For a start, the children designed their masks. They talked about what it means to be heroes and shared ideas of how they could help others.

The Little Heroes shared their desire to help their parents at home. They listed various ways they could do so, including folding their family’s laundry.

The Little Heroes also hoped to ‘heal’ their friends and parents when they were tired. One of the Little Heroes even shared about their parents’ constant joint aches after returning back home. The teachers made their wish come true by introducing the art of stretching and relaxation through fun stories!

The Little Heroes discussed the importance of working together to solve problems. They talked about how The Avengers and other superheroes work together to save the world and wanted to be as united as The Avengers.
