Another year has come, another door has opened for our little ones to instill spirit of good values and give back to the community despite the COVID-19 pandemic situation.
This year, K1 and K2 children of PCF Sparkletots Preschool at Teck Ghee 415 have launched an SSDB Project with a theme of ‘Building A Caring Community’. To introduce this project and its theme, children were at first engaged in watching the SSDB 2021 trailer to enlighten them about its goal, what should we achieve this year, and get ideas on how to collaborate with community virtually.
After watching the video, teachers discussed with the children and highlighted the good values we should imbibe and advocate to build a caring community. Children have also shared their insights and ideas on possible activities that they can do to accomplish this project with full excitement and fun!
Afterwards, children were brought in their respective classrooms to continue the launching activities. Children were grouped in small teams to play ‘egg relay’ game wherein they were tasked to sort community helpers from the basket and find their matching roles in the community…

Children were also engaged in art activity ‘A We Care Tree of Pledge’ wherein each of the children had their hand printed on the tree to formally launch the project and the pledge to become caring and responsible stewards in the community.
Truly, no one can do everything, but everyone can do something!
