Our centre, PCF Sparketots Preschool @ Limbang Blk 567 (CC) is participating in the Start Small Dream Big (SSDB) 2018 project. As per the suggested theme “Caring for Others, Together”, our centre will be making a difference to the community.
On 23 April 2018, our centre have had our SSDB Launch in partnership with a group of Town Council cleaners. Our children would like to show appreciation, care and respect for the people who help to keep our environment clean and green.
Our children are all ready to welcome the cleaner aunties and uncles! When the cleaners have arrived, they provided the children with tongs, gloves and trash bags and they were off to pick litter together at Stagmont park.
During the process of litter-picking, the children had the opportunity to interact and communicate with the cleaners. They have also gained exposure by experiencing the job of the cleaners as they go around picking up litter under the hot sun.

After the litter-picking activity, the cleaners were invited into our centre for a short interview done by a few of our children. Through the interview, the children got a better understanding of what the job of the cleaners are all about.
