Start Small Dream Big launch was held on Friday, 3rd April 2020. It was an event celebrated differently due to the advisory from ECDA to minimise contact in school.
Our centre used a technology called ‘Zoom’ to connect three classes for the event. It was a success as we were able to carry out the planned activities with the other classes from different Bay! The Pre-Nursery and Playgroup children were able to join in too by watching us perform online.
Our Centre focuses on the danger of Covid virus and the importance of personal hygiene . This is in line with our theme; ‘Be Kind, Keep Fit and Stay Healthy’
The event was lead by our Emcees from K2 class. They started the event with an interview with a nurse focusing on the danger of Covid virus and then discussed on the importance of taking good care of their personal hygiene. Then they sang a song titled ‘Covid virus’ and did an ‘Awareness Walk’ informing others to be more socially responsible.
The K1 children created a commercial and washing hands videos to show awareness in keeping themselves and others fit and healthy, while the N2 children did a short skit to bring awareness to all.
The event was added with more exciting activities through quizzes and puzzle play. Aside from that, the children coloured SSDB Badge! They were proud to bring it home as ambassador of ‘Good Hygiene Practitioner’ ; sharing the good practice they learnt in school.
