On 27th April 2023, the children of PCF Sparkletots - Bedok Reservoir-Punggol @ 713, had our SSDB launch party with our chosen theme of “Caring for Our Nature and Environment” with the aim to raise awareness by taking care and showing love to our nature and environment as well as learning about the importance of reduce, reuse and recycle.
很高兴我们迎来了2023年的SSDB活动，在这次的活动中，我们围绕着“保护环境”的主题，与幼儿一起观察、照顾和探索绿豆种子的成长的过程；一起边哼唱着熟悉的儿歌，投入大自然的怀抱，享受着青青绿草带来的清新空气，在邻里边散步边收集着可回收的物品；一起了解有关于可以重复使用和回收的材料，比如纸袋、瓶子等。同时，我们还一起用树叶和树枝等自然材料创作了我们最喜爱作品。我们通过有趣的活动，让幼儿亲近大自然、观察大自然、探索大自然，激发幼儿的想象力，主动学习。在玩中学，学中玩，培养幼儿的环境保护意识以及对大自然的爱。
We had set-up different booths for children to participate in the Art and Craft booth whereby we had pre-picked fallen leaves with the children to be used for print-painting, the ‘Growing of Green Bean Seeds’ booth to learn the ways of planting a seed and to develop a sense of responsibility in them. Recycling Booth to discover about the importance of 3Rs (Reuse, Reduce and Recycle), Neighbourhood Walk to pick up trash that can be recycled and lastly, our Photobooth where we took beautiful photos!

Through this fun filled activities, we want to encourage children that we have the power to change the world to a better place, it is our duty and responsibility to learn the significance on taking good care of our Earth through small actions - Start Small Dream Big 🧡
