This year, we are collaborating with the Cat Welfare Society for our SSDB project.
We launched the event by getting children to open up the SSDB box and exploring what’s inside. Children were fascinated with the items and distributed it to the staff in the school and also to their peers.
We are collaborating with CWS to aim in teaching children about responsible pet ownership and how they can contribute to the life of community cats in Singapore.
Later on, we had sharing session about ‘Cats’. Teacher shared some PowerPoint slides with Children to get them moving to learn more about cats. Children were very curious and asked many questions during the session. Children also came forward to share some of their experiences they had with cats. We also had a walk around our neighbourhood to say hello to the community cats living around our area.
Children learnt about how they can show kindness and compassion towards cats and what are the types of food they can feed cats.
Children are looking forward to more fun activities during the June holidays, and CWS visiting us to share more about what they do and how we can help.
