Start Small Dream Big is an interesting, exciting, engaging, meaningful project for our preschool children.
The aim of this project is to create an understanding and awareness of showing Love, Care and Kindness to the less fortunate children in our society.
Our plan would include working with our community partner, NLB, to collect and donate storybooks to an Orphanage Home. In addition, together with our Parent Support Group, our K2A class (Inventiveness) would put up a performance/dramatisation at the Orphanage as well as conduct a story reading program to promote a Love for reading. Our young children would also create some craft works to present as gifts to the children of the Orphanage. Our children are looking forward to move on with eagerness and enthusiasm to the second phase to visit the Orphanage.
Our launch of SSDB project 2018 was celebrated with an invitation to Ms Meena from NLB who graced the occasion and read a wonderful story titled ‘Ordinary Mary’s Extraordinary Deed’. Our K2A children enjoyed the story very much. Furthermore our K2A children put up an exciting song and dance performance to celebrate the event. Our guest of honour, Ms Meena together with our excited children cut the chocolate cake to close the celebration of the launch. All had a great time.
