Greenland Childcare Centre, Kallang launched their Start Small Dream Big project with the theme “Caring for the Community: My Community and Me”. As Singapore marks its bicentennial, it’s a time to reflect upon the history of Singapore and to appreciate the sacrifices that were made in the past that made this great country what is today. That being said, parents and grandparents joined yoga sessions. With these sessions, the centre’s goal was to encompass our community in our SSDB project with their support.
The launch party began with a chair yoga sessions right in the heart of our community. This activity really proved that together we can accomplish great things!
The children were able to show off their love for art in a few ways during the Launch Party. The artworks were sold and all the proceeds were given to the Rainbow Centre -an organization that provides much needed services for children living with special needs
Our party ended in play with the children and their families participating in a recycled version of interactive traditional games. As the age old adage goes, it takes a village to raise a child and our Launch Party proved that we are part of a united village that truly understands that no one can do everything, but everyone can do something!
