As the topic of saving water is not only applicable in school but at home as well, we involved the parents in some home based learning activities to do together with their children. The teachers have previously shared with the children about some of the good water saving habits and why we need to save water. Parents, together with their children took photos of the good water saving habits displayed at home.
The parents were encouraged to share with the children the various ways they could save water at home.
Turning off the tap while soaping.
Using a container to wash vegetables.
Using a mug when brushing teeth. Turning off the tap when brushing teeth.
The children were praised for their good water saving habits displayed at home and were encouraged to continue with such good habits.
