Our children at KidsCampus Chai Chee have kicked off our 3rd annual SSDB project with the theme “Caring for Animals - Cats & Dogs”.
This year’s project is designed to impart the importance of responsible pet ownership and instill values of respect for animals from an early age. We plan to achieve this through various activities, including lessons, talks from invited speakers (SPCA, Nparks, local veterinarians, and pet owners), and engaging parents in participatory events.
Leading up to the project launch, children from the Nursery, K1, and K2 classes have been actively involved in creating a banner that features their favorite animals, which will be prominently displayed throughout the project.
On the launch day, May 3rd, 2024, the children eagerly presented their banner, donned their orange hats, and sang the “I Love My Pet” song. They also watched a video titled “Willie the Whistling Duck Explores Our City in Nature” to learn about caring for animals. Additionally, they performed a skit demonstrating how they would interact with animals in their neighborhood. The event concluded with the children singing the song “Step by Step”, marking the official start of our project.
