During our June holiday program, we introduced different community helpers to our children and both our K1s and N2s enjoyed learning about them. We started the week with Delivery Riders and children learned about what delivery riders do, the different equipment and how long their working hours are. We invited a Grab delivery rider down share his experiences with the children. They were very excited and had many questions to ask (What happens when you spill the food? What is in your bag?) Children gave a thank you cards to the delivery rider as a token of appreciation.
Next, children got the opportunity to dress up as their favorite community helpers and they were so excited. They enjoyed sharing about their costumes why their chosen costumes are special to them! They showed respect by listening and cheering for their friends while they presented!
Overall, our June Holiday was filled with exciting and engaging activities for our SSDB project! Children learnt the importance of being appreciative and thankful to our community helpers. ❤️
