SSDB 2023: Singapore Kindness Movement Celebration and June Holiday activities!
We had our Singapore Kindness Movement celebration on the 31st May in school! We started off by watching the SSDB 2023 launch video and sang the Theme song, “Step by Step”. Our K1 & K2 kiddians dramatised a short skit that teaches the 5 magic words and they are, “Please”, “Thank You”, “You’re Welcome”, “Excuse Me”, and “Sorry”. After which, the kiddians played some games such as ‘Charge Your Heart’ showing kindness by doing or saying something nice to their friends, and ‘I can Help’ by cleaning up the cluttered areas. The kiddians also enjoyed some storytelling time too where they learn more about spreading kindness to others.
For our June holiday programme, we continued to spread kindness to others like the younger friends and aunties at work! The younger children had play dates with the older children. The older children were so kind and happy to guide the younger ones whenever they needed help.
Families were involved in our SSDB project too. We have organised a donation drive for kidSTART Singapore and invited families to contirbute items like craft materials, books and educational toys. These items will be shared to benefit the children fron low income families.
