Our SSDB Theme 2022: Caring for our Environment with my Family
PROJECT 1: b) Collection of Rainwater
During the second week of May, children brought to school each a big container with cover. These containers would be used to collect rainwater. So, we pray for rain. Ha, Ha. God blessed us with very heavy rain on 25 May 2022. It was fun time for both teachers and children. The containers were all filled to its brim and were covered to prevent mosquito breeding.
The next following days, parents came to the center. They used the collected rainwater to water the plants in our garden. There was still surplus, so our cleaner used it to wash the toilet.
Through these activities children learnt the preciousness of water and how to conserve it. We are also thankful to have very handful of supportive parents, who believe in nurturing their children with us.
