We have learnt about the story “Recycling Day” by Edward Miller. Our Start Small Dream Big theme for this year is “Climate Heroes, Global Healing”. Our children have learnt about recycling and saving planet earth through planting.
The K2 children talked about how they wanted to help save the planet earth by planting. They were given a chance to decorate their plant pots made from recycled plastic bottles. Children had learnt to reuse the plastic bottles for gardening and one of the ways to reduce the plastic waste. We decided to plant edible seeds in a pot and transfer it to the garden when it sprouted. They were encouraged to water and take good care of their own plants. Everybody was so excited and enjoyed the planting activity in the school’s garden.
