In line with our idea of helping the community and focusing on the elderly, we decided to create a project which addressed the current situation of COVID and also create awareness to the measures that needed to be done. Our explorers in K2 Honesty, were introduced to the different measures such as needing to wash our hands frequently with soap, checking our temperature, social distancing and also the importance of wearing a mask. From there, the children also felt that it was important that these measures should be shared to the elderly as they were the most vulnerable. As our initial plan to visit the elderly at SilverCircle Marsiling was hindered, we decided to create a short video focusing on the 4 Safety Measures which would be sent via email and embark on the idea of gifting the elderly with face masks and short reminders handwritten and decorated by the children themselves 😊
