Mother’s Day is celebrated in our centre to provide the children opportunities to express their feelings and appreciation to the mothers around the world. It is a time for them to reflect on things that their mother have done for them – from bathing, dressing them up, cooking, feeding them, etc. This also serves as an educational purpose as they learnt the importance of honoring and respecting motherhood across different cultures in our society.
A variety of activities were conducted in class and with our N2 mothers, such as storytelling, craft activity, surprise videos, and dress-up.
We were glad to see our N2 children and their mothers engaged with fun-filled activities -making of flowers, dress-up, and used different massage tools. It was seen on our N2 mummies’ faces that they enjoyed the lined-up activities.
Not forgetting, children from the other levels were engaged in craft activities as well. They created flower crafts and mother’s day crafts to be presented to their mothers.
