4th August is the date that marks the end of our collaboration with NEA and The Food Bank Singapore as we came together and brought about a day of fun and laughter that is complete with food, drinks and games to celebrate our efforts in food waste!
The carnival started off with some hiccups but together with our Teachers and staffs, we quickly had them ironed out as we worked hand in hand together, motivated by our supportive parents and children!
Gracing the event was a special guest of honour whose presence took this event up a notch on the meaningful scale. Our MP Mr Charles Chong specially made time to event to attend our humble event and even represented us on the presentation of the proceeds of our carnival to The Food Bank Singapore.
On top of that, Mr Charles Chong also had a chance to participate in a free glucose test provided by Healthway Medical.
Overall the event was highly successful as we managed to educate our parents and children’s about the importance of not wasting food and minimising food waste whenever possible.
In terms of the quality of our carnival, the Sheffield Kidsworld SSDB Carnival 2018 definitely did not disappoint. We brought children and families, old and young together as they bonded over the various activities and games. Let the picture do the talking!
We would also like to the take the opportunity to thank each and every parent for their support and dedication towards our cause, be it monetary contribution or time and efforts. We at Sheffield Kidsworld greatly appreciate them and we look forward to continuing this even after our project ends!
