Our campus arranged for a visit for our N1 and N2 children to the Sengkang Fire Station on 4th May, which is also International Firefighter’s Day. During the visit, the children were brought to different stations such as being hands-on the fire extinguisher, water hose, learning more about CPR, and they even got to see how the firefighters get dressed in their full gear when being called for a fire call.
The children who were accompanied by their parents, also learned more about the medical and emergency vehicles such as the ambulance, red rhino, fire engine as well as the fire medical vehicle.
The children were briefed about using the equipment at the different stations. They witnessed firefighters getting dressed for a fire call and saw them sawing a metal gate with their equipment.
Before ending the day, children took photos with the fire fighters!
